Welcome to Voicecard. We built the Voicecard Chrome Extension (the "Extension") to help users record voice memos and transcribe them directly inside the Greenhouse scorecard interface. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use the Extension. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the Voicecard Terms of Service.
Voice recordings and transcriptions: When you use the Extension to record a voice memo, we send that audio to our secure backend and/or third-party AI processing services to transcribe the text and optionally generate scorecard content.
Usage data within the Extension interface: We collect non-identifying usage metrics inside the Extension (e.g., record button clicks, transcribe actions, performance logs) for quality, performance optimization, bug detection, and user experience improvement.
Account and subscription information: If you sign up for a paid tier, we collect your account details, subscription plan, billing information (via our payment provider), and relevant metadata.
Browser and device data: We may collect standard browser information (e.g., browser version, OS type) and device identifiers needed to operate the Extension securely. No tracking of your browsing or activity outside the Extension interface is performed.
We share your audio recordings and transcriptions with third-party AI service providers solely for the purpose of generating the requested scorecard content.
We do not permanently store your raw voice recordings except where required for processing or review; after transcription and generation we purge or anonymize recordings consistent with our retention policy.
We do not share data with advertisers or for marketing purposes unless explicitly disclosed and authorized.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or third parties.
We retain your transcribed text, generated scorecard content, and relevant usage metrics for as long as your account remains active (or as needed to provide the service). We purge or anonymize older data in accordance with internal retention schedules and legal obligations. Raw audio recordings are deleted or anonymized once no longer needed for processing.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, regular auditing) to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. However, no system is perfectly secure; you acknowledge and accept this risk.
The Extension is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you become aware of a child's data being processed, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your data may be processed in servers located in other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or other data-protection jurisdiction, we will ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) are in place to protect your data in international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes your consent to the revised policy.
